Be carefull what you wish for...

So I don't know if you've been hearing about the blizzard which hit the east coast the last day or so, if your wondering weather it has disrupted our travel plans, yes, yes it has. We spent almost 5 hours in the Toronto greyhound terminal this morning, including an hour and a half outside I'm minus 11 degree cold (coldest morning yet).

The majority of this time was spent having no idea of we would be able to leave Toronto today at all. One minuite people said we should leave and call them in a day or two, the next there were aparently busses going, we just never knew. That was until we were told to wait in a line which almost spanned to the us border and not to worry we would get on a bus. I'm not sure if you have spent an hour and a half in minus 11 degrees before but I wouldn't be getting In line to go again that's for sure.

We finally got on a bus and thought our problems were over, we will get to NYC just 5 hours late but this was just the beginning. After 5 hours on the bus we get a message from david with the real bad news. His flight into Nyc has been canceled and he was offered the next available flight on Jan 3rd. The day we leave for Washington dc, not to mention after new years which we just spent 600+ dollars on between us...

So as I finish up this blog I'm about 5 hours out from NYC David us stuck in milwakee (not where his friends are) alone with almost all busses, trains booked and no license to hire a car as he lost his wallet in San Francisco. Were trying to find a way to get him here asap so wish him luck, were ok we've got eachother and booked accomodation poor davie is on his own.

Hope you guys are well, were aRe ok this just makes things a bit exciting I guess!

Oh and incase your wondering I learned my lesson wishing for snow... And I havnt missed the irony of it all, no snow on Christmas then far too much to possibly ruin new years ha ha ha.

Bye for now!

Let's hope you see David popping up in sone photos in NYC soon!!

Christmas Eve + Christmas Day

Hey everyone, just got off the phone to Australia, and i can say i am sad to be missing the meal mum is putting on this year, it sounds amazing! I will sleep easier knowing however that she has promised to make me the ham when i get back.

So, Christmas eve was spent at Niagara falls, however, sadly Rach was too sick to come with us. As i mentioned she was suffering pretty badly from a dodgy KFC burger (who knew that was possible?)
. The same burger which led her to go a little bit crazy when buying Christmas presents and decorations. As you saw, our hotel room was looking pretty amazing, with a lit tree, stockings and a pile of presents higher than her expectations for snow on Christmas. (very high)

On that note, although it didnt snow today, there is snow around on the ground, so as far as im concerned it was a white Christmas, it was defiantly cold enough, -7 at 9am and got up to a toasty warm -4 today before dropping back to -6 by dinner time.

On to Niagara Falls

So as i mentioned, Rach was far too sick to come with us to Niagara Falls, which was a real shame, she would have love the overpriced nick nack shops and range dead rabbit's which have been turned into hats, not to mention the wine tasting! Unfortunately, rather than spending a day wine tasting, freezing at the side of the falls and walking through an endless maze of expensive post cards and over priced Canada themed rubbish she spend the day praying to the porcelain gods.

This was a viewing area for the back of the falls.. the water was flowing past sounded like a train or an 747 at full throttle... couldtn see the water for the ice...

This was the walkway which was supposed to have a view fo the falls from behind...

Couldnt help bu think of you Nicole.. if your reading this..
